Working across painting, clothing art, 3D modeling, installations and interior design.
Explore the Work→My name is Sofiia. Everything I make begins with a feeling, and that feeling needs somewhere to live — on canvas, on fabric, on a wall, in three-dimensional space.
Painting, for me, isn't a craft — it's my soul, and I want to show it to the world. I've always chosen the path of the heart and followed what I felt, while still keeping a clear head. I've lived through more than most people my age, and that's exactly why I know, with complete certainty, that this is what I want to do and what I truly love. Through my art I say the things that can't always be said out loud.
I'm a painter and a 3D designer, and for me there's no border between 'canvas' and 'not canvas.' A vision can be born in paint, live on a dress, and then take on volume as a three-dimensional piece. The materials change, but not the essence: an emotion that becomes a form — one you can not only look at, but step inside.
In every piece, you'll find me, and the beauty I see in the world. I want people to look past the image and see a soul — and past the femininity, feel a strength: quiet, real, with nothing left to prove.
I work wherever an idea needs to live — on canvas, on fabric, in 3D, in a room.
Born between cultures, I've spent recent years living and working in Dubai — a city that already feels like a mirage between the desert and the sea. I've been drawing since I was a kid, and along the way I've moved through more styles and mediums than I can count, from careful realism to looser, more expressive work.
These days I paint wherever an idea wants to live — canvas, fabric, walls, a 3D scene. I've collaborated with a clothing brand on a hand-painted capsule, and I'm open to new freelance projects — collaborations, not full-time roles. I've also put together exhibitions from the ground up, built installations, styled interiors, and taken on occasional art for game projects. I like following a project all the way through, not just handing over a finished piece.
One thing that keeps resurfacing across the work is the tear — a recurring motif in the Crying Women series, and one part of a much wider practice.
Artist Statement — Every work begins with one question: what do we allow ourselves to feel in public? A tear is the one detail that cannot be fully acted. I paint it again and again, like a researcher exploring one subject through endless variations.
Painting is where it started — these days the practice runs wider.
Watercolour, ink, acrylic and gouache — where the practice began, and still its core.
Hand-painted custom pieces and brand collaborations, one garment at a time.
Walls, objects, unconventional materials — if it holds pigment, it's fair game.
Sculpting and modeling in three dimensions, alongside the traditional work.
Concept, build and install — planning a show from the ground up, not just filling a wall.
A new direction is taking shape — details soon.
Open to projects and collaborations.
Get in Touch→I don't perform the tear. I let the camera catch what's already there.
— Sofiia YanovskaEvery drawing carries the same mark — a tear, caught mid-breath, never staged.
This is the visual language behind the entire series: raw watercolour and graphite, imperfect on purpose, painted again each time it's truly felt.
Some things can't be staged. This is one of them.
The tear is the artist's recurring mark — not pain on display, but honesty caught mid-breath. Not a category of work: a language that runs through nearly everything she makes.
Every collaboration starts the same way a painting does — with attention, not performance.
The same emotional language — scaled into campaigns, packaging and illustration for brands seeking an imperfect, living aesthetic.
The complete body of work, filterable by collection.
Discipline looks quiet from the outside. From inside, it's the only place I feel free.
